Chicano Batman put out a new album, Freedom is Free, earlier this year and this was the lead single. Now, I’m a sucker for an organ heavy jam, and with the smooth and funky rhythm section, this is right up my alley, musically speaking. I also love songs that have dark lyrics over an uptempo beat, and this one delivers a cold lesson on friendship.
These guys hail from LA, but are currently on tour. Midwest peeps- they’re stopping in Milwaukee on 9/29 and Chicago on 9/30, so check ’em out if you get a chance!
